My name is Brendan. I am personal trainer who is studying Sport and Exercise Psychology at West Virginia University. I am originally from Briarcliff Manor, New York. I have been an athlete my entire life, playing sports year round. I have played competitive hockey for 12 years, and played one year at Springfield College. I have been working out ever since I have had a personal trainer in 8th grade. I am, and always will be a natural athlete, who would love to help anyone get in shape.

Health and fitness has always been the love of my life. For me, there is no better feeling than helping someone reach their fitness goals. I wake up everyday to fight for a better life and make everyone around me better people. I have worked at Bluestreak Sports Training, working with high school and Division I college athletes for two summers. I have also worked at the Stansbury Fitness center in West Virginia, working with the general public. I am Bigger Faster Stronger (BFS) certified, which means I have the right to teach individuals and or full athletic teams in the weight room alone.

I take my diet very serious and keep it consistent. I make sure I take my multivitamin, fish oils, and whey protein shake every morning before starting my day. Most of my nutritional value comes from liquid shake and I eat one solid meal a day. This diet was taught to me from the number one fitness model in the industry right now, Greg Plitt.

My workouts are very consistent as well.

          Day 1- Chest, tris

          Day 2- Back,Bis,Forearms

          Day 3- Legs

          Day 4- Shoulders,Traps

          Day 5-  HIIT Cardio

          Day 6- Leg

         Back to Day 1

I train my abs everyday for 15 minutes post workout. I do not take any off days unless my body needs one. Yes, I might be over training, but my passion and love for health and fitness is so strong that I am ok with it.

My favorite body part to train is my biceps. I love dumbbell curls and using time under tension workouts to maximize my results. I train very light and focus more on the full contractions of the muscle, as well as using the full range of motion of the exercise. I also find that I personally get the best results working with free weights for my chest, back, and shoulder exercises. Chest press and military dumbbell presses are my favorite when it comes to training chest and shoulders. For back, you can never go wrong with the old school wide grip pull-up, which will grow the most mass in my opinion. For triceps I am a fan of rope pull downs along with weighted dips. For legs, I am a big fan of squats, and leg press as well as quad extensions and hamstring curls.  Working out will never get old for me and I can not wait to see what the future has to hold for me and my clients.

When I am not at the gym, I enjoy hiking, and hanging out with motivated people. I love educating myself to become the best I can be. I am also a big fan of listening to music. I am a fan of 70's and 80's rock, as well as the new techno music when working out.

I have also have had to overcome a read and writing disorder called Dyslexia. It has been a problem for me my entire life, but never let anything stop you from becoming the person you always wanted to become! I am currently a senior in college and have overcame this disorder time and time again by staying positive and working very hard in the classroom.

Over the last few days I had the pleasure of shooting with John. We had a great time together and are now good friends. We both have the same mindset on health and fitness and worked very well together. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to shoot with him. John is a great guy who wants to see young talent success. Working with him was very easy and we had a blast. If anyone is looking to build a fitness portfolio, I would recommend John to help you make it happen. Be a "Doer". Hope everyone is having a great day. Keep working hard out there, and stay blessed!
