Hi, my name is Vernett Stennett. I am a 43 year old, natural/fitness bodybuilder from Long Island, New York. I was born in Jamaica, West Indies, and came to the US with my parents when I was young. Life was difficult in those early years, adjusting to a new culture and new home. I went through High School and as a young adult I needed a sports activity to fill my spare time and keep myself active and fit. I was never a fan of team sports and wanted to find something I could do by myself. In my early twenties I started weight lifting. My body took to it and quickly molded itself into the shape you see in the pictures above. For many years I was content just to lift and maintain my physique. But recently more than one person has suggested that I look to careers in the fitness industry. I became certified as a personal trainer, and started looking into modeling as another way to promote the fitness lifestyle. I have been to other photographers and had photos taken. While the photos were nice, there was nothing exciting. An acquaintance then recommended that I let John take some shots of me. I talked to him, and immediately felt that perhaps I had finally found someone who knew how to really capture the image of a body builder. Needless to say, my photo shoot WAS great. John made the experience fun. The adrenaline was pumping as we got into it. Roll after roll of film was shot. I felt pumped and excited about the whole experience. The only thing left now was to actually see if the photos were as good as I thought they would be. You can see the results. I will definitely go back to John when I need some more updated photos.
