Hello! My name is Jim Ford, I am a chemist living in Washington, DC. I was excited to work with John to capture my photos on a lovely sunny 24th birthday back in June in Connecticut. Thank you John for your hard work and dedication to the craft. I received my B.S. in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University (www.psu.edu). Go Nittany Lions! I am originally from Pittsburgh and was proud to go to Penn State. It is there that I started lifting weights my junior year. I graduated in December 1998. I currently work for a small specialty pharmaceutical company, Shire. (LSE: SHP.L, NASDAQ: SHPGY, TSE: SHQCN) As a chemist, I work on a team that is reformulating drugs into once-a-day dosages to help increase patient compliance in taking medications. We use patented technologies to perform delayed drug release, see www.shire.com. I am nearly complete with a M.S. degree in Forensic Science from the George Washington University. I expect my graduation in May 2002. My interest in forensics dates back to my high school days. When I am not at work or school, I enjoy living in the Capital city. I chose to live in Washington for its amazing cultural offerings and nightlife. My friends and I are never at a loss for something unique to do or visit. I enjoy music (techno, dance, electronica), theatre (musical, choral, opera), pleasure reading, Washington's many art galleries, and my computer. I work out at Results in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington approximately three days a week. I have been lifting weights and doing aerobics for five years and have seen wonderful results.
