Exercise & Nutrition - It Works!

That's right folks, it really works. We have all grown to know that with the proper diet and a moderate amount of exercise that we can maintain a weight that is both healthy and more visibly acceptable in today's judgmental society. Regardless of other reasons people might want to diet and exercise, the important reasons are to feel good, have more energy, and live a healthy lifestyle.

As you may or may not already know, I am a personal fitness trainer with a deep passion for the industry. I love it when people actually start and continue to see results. As a matter of fact, I just came from seeing a client who recently purchased a set up program from me. She started one week ago; let me tell you the amazing results thus far.

An average, obese woman came to me personally and asked for a specific program designed to help her win the EAS Body of Work Challenge contest. She could not afford to retain my services as a one on one personal fitness trainer but would like a program that she could do on her own. I told her that it would be my pleasure to set her up with one but I would need extensive information about her lifestyle, eating habits, and medical history as well as family medical history to include dietary restrictions. This was no easy task to take on but I knew that I could help her.

After reading through the forms, which had all of the information that I requested and taking the necessary measurements, I saw that I had my work cut out for me. For starters, her eating habits, if that is what you call them, obviously needed help. One to two meals per day just doesn't cut it, especially when they consist of mostly carbohydrates. Her sodium intake was not too bad due to a family history of various heart troubles. The all-night partying with the drinking that goes along with that had to stop. This brand new, temporarily out of work lawyer needed my help badly. She needed a lifestyle change and she knew it.

After carefully evaluating all of the information and spending much time thinking, I designed her program specifically for the schedule that she must keep while looking for work with a top- notch law firm and keeping focus on her specific needs as a diabetic as well as her personal fitness goals.

We touch base once a week to evaluate both diet and exercise programs. It has been only in one week and she has reported an 8 lb. loss of weight. That small amount of weight loss has given her a new drive and more motivation then she has ever seen in herself. I made the necessary changes in both the diet and exercise plans and we were off-line shortly after. I am so happy for her. I love to see people excited about the results that I show them.

The point of me writing this short article is to show you, the reader, that with the right information you can do it to. It doesn't necessarily have to be a contest of any sort but in 12 short weeks, by applying certain principles and concepts that I have covered in previous articles, you can be well on your way to being in the type of shape that you want to be in. There is no excuse why not.

So have fun and good luck!
